New Moon premiere screening thanks to Nuffnang!

• On the 25th of November, I was given the opportunity of attending the premiere screening of New Moon courtesy of Nuffnang! I was so excited and couldn't wait the miniute I knew I won the tickets cuz it's NEW MOON!! Come one man, I'm a huge fan of the Twilight Saga k.. lol.. I'm not exactly in a blogging mood so I'll keep it short..

• Skipped Malaysian Studies to spend the whole afternoon and evening with Flora lepaking at Curve, Ikano and Ikea.. We went and jumpa Sherie and also Jonathan.. Bought Christmas presents.. Yada yada, collected tickets, went Mcd for dinner with Flora, Sherie, Sam, Audrey, Suresh and Jac..

• No other pictures cuz I din bring camera and we all seem to have forgotten about taking pictures.. haha.. So straight on to the movie synopsis and review..

Continuing where Twilight ended, New Moon started with Edward and Bella happily together.. But things went wrong at Bella's 18th Birthday, and Edward makes the ultimate decision to leave Bella so she can live normally.. But things don't go so right because Bella is incapable of living without Edward..

Pretty soon, she starts doing reckless, dangerous stunts just because she sees a hallucination of Edward when she does things like that.. She also spent more time with Jacob, her childhood friend and starts depending on him.. But things get weird and Bella finds out that her best friend is a werewolf..

Soon after, Edward gets misinformed thinking that Bella was dead and he set out to see the Volturi to get himself killed.. The Volturi refused to kill him but he wanted to give them a reason to.. Fortunately Bella got there on time to stop Edward.. But the Volturi wanted to kill Bella because they considered her a liability.. But Alice saved the day by saying that she has seen visions of Bella being a vampire.. And so they went back to Forks, and I'll leave the end for you to watch.. LOL..

• In my opinion, this movie sure beats Twilight and it is way better.. I might be biased because I'm a fan of the books, but I really thought it was not bad.. And I must say I really understand how Jacob feels.. It's so heart-wrenching to watch the ending.. Where Bella actually tells Jacob that she loves him but that she'll always choose Edward.. sigh.. poor Jacob..

• But enough of all that emoness.. Back to the review.. You should so catch the show, it is worth watching.. I'd give it a rating of maybe 7.5/10.. Was quite disturbed by the fact that they cut a lot of kissing scenes though.. But nonetheless, still good.. Now go and enjoy the movie.. =)

• But then, Mister Potato's assistant Ortega got word of Amanda Janelle's slow but steady climb up the corporate ladder, and he certainly did NOT tolerate it.. He set out to torture her with his annoying laughter..

• But Amanda Janelle was not one to give up. Oh no way, not after she worked so hard and definitely not when she's so close to attaining her dream.. So using letters Q, W, E, R, T she beat Ortega at his own laughing game and defeated him once and for all..

• So at last, Amanda Janelle put on her hat, and smiled like she's never smiled before! She can finally declare herself as the #1 man (or in this case, girl) of the Empire of Mister Potato Chips!

On Monday, 16th of Nov, I watched da premiere screening of A Christmas Carol, all thanks to Nuffnang, who gave me 2 invites to go for the movie.. After much dilemma bout not going and giving my tickets away, in the end, I invited my "cousin" Karel and he was my "date" for that night.. haha.. We were a bit late la, collected tickets at almost 9, and only had half an hour to eat as the movie started at 9.30pm.. Xin Yi came with us but she went shopping cuz she wanted to buy Xmas present for her Edwin.. =)

• Ok to cut a long story short, here's the synopsis of the movie.. It's my own take on it la, cuz everything else that I found was so bloody long..

The movie revolves around Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter and miserly old moneylender.. Scrooge hates everything about Christmas and refuses to even let loose to enjoy in the merriment of the holiday.. On Christmas Eve, he is visited by hos former business partner Jacob Marley, who has died 7 Christmas Eves ago.. Marley warns Scrooge about a horrible afterlife is he does not repent and foretells that Scrooge will be haunted by 3 ghosts who will guide him.. The 3 ghosts are Ghost of Christmas Past, Ghost of Christmas Present and Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come.. Finally, Scrooge awakens to find himself in bed on Christmas Day and he sets out to atone for his sins, making donations to the poor, attending his nephew's Christmas Dinner and raising Cratchit's salary so he can care for his family better.. In the end, Scrooge becomes a whole different person who embodies the true spirit of christmas itself..

• Overall I'd say it's quite a good movie.. It has a great meaning to it, and it really reminded me that Christmas is almost here! =) The movie is a bit dark at certain times, but it is nicely balanced out by a few touches of humour here and there.. A great one to watch with family, in my opinion.. I'll probably rate it 7/10 I guess.. It's worth watching, so go on and watch.. haha..

• Gosh it's only been 3 days that my blog's not updated, but I already feel like I abandoned it too long! So back to business then.. On Sunday, Flora, Freddie, Sherie and I headed out for a "family" outing.. haha.. To those who don't know, 4 of us are like family k.. Flora is my godsis, Sherie is Flora's godsis and Freddie is just like our long lost brother.. haha..

• First destination was Zouk, where the Chic Pop Street Market was going on.. It was very interesting, things were being sold at a cheaper price, and there was quite a lot of people.. and best of all, it's an air-conditioned street market k!! I like! haha.. I ended up spending the most, but NOT on my own accord k.. I initially only bought a tube top.. Then Flora put a bracelet on my hand, and Sherie n Fred said I should get it.. then they did it again with a tube dress.. haha..

• Once we were at Chili's, we did a lot of talking, a lot of catching up, and a lot of gossiping as well.. haha.. Not to mention a WHOLE load of laughter.. It was good la, cuz the 4 of us haven't hung out in so long..

Fred and Flora, Sam and me.. Simply because Sam is damn good, and I am damn noob.. Whereas Flora and Fred are not bad.. Sam and I were supposed to be Team A, and Flora and Fred were Team B.. But den, Sam was so effing good he seemed to hit everything in, every single time, I was da one who hit the black ball in.. And so they decided there was no Team A.. There was Sam and The Closure, and Team B.. (Yes they called me The Closure!!)

• I'm so supposed to be studying.. And just this afternoon I was complaining that I had no inspiration to blog.. Which I guess considering the timing, was a good thing cuz blogging is just another way of procrastinating from studying isn't it? But then, just now on the way to church I heard this awesome song.. • So yeah, back to the real story.. Met Audrey at AC for lunch yesterday.. To cut a long story short, the weather was very indecisive.. It didn't know whether it wanted rain or storm, sun or clouds.. It's like as if the weather didn't want Audrey to go home.. Everytime I was about to suggest that she started to head home, the rain poured down as if there was no tomorrow.. So we ended up talking for a good 5 hours.. I must say it was very fun though.. =) A lot of getting-to-know you and girl talk kinda thing..

Goshhh.. After studying until I so tension, I thought wanna rest a while la k.. So I went into my room, all ready to flop onto my bed and rest for bout 10 mins.. But I walked in, and guess what I saw?

And you know what's worse? She went out with mom to BUY SHOES!! So i can't shout and ask her to clear it up.. ARGH!!

Oh yeah I'm supposed to be studying.. That's for sure.. But at times I wonder, what's the use.. Nothing is going to rekindle my love for Physics anymore.. It has just become beyond words boring, not to mention completely nonsensical.. Decided to just do a short update on me, studying Physics.. So that you'll all understand the situation here, right now, in my study room.. haha..

Teaching a 5 year old the art of camwhoring!

If you've been following me on Twitter, you might remember that 3 nights back, I tweeted on teaching my 5 year old cousin how to camwhore.. haha.. Her name is Annabel and she's just so adorable, I must say that she looks better in the photos den me.. =( And she just seems to love the camera.. Couldn't stop making different expressions because prior to camwhoring, she and I were coming up with silly expressions and faces.. I had to do like 20 for her k.. (talk about demanding..) So here are a few photos, on me teaching my 5 year old cousin how to camwhore.. I can totally see that she'll grow up to be one good camwhorer.. LOL..

Howling at the New Moon

• Ahh yes.. The long-awaited release of the 2nd instalment of Twilight is less than a month away.. And like all other die-hard fans of the Twilight Saga, I am dying of anticipation waiting for the release date.. And then I get some good news from Nuffnang!! They're giving out free tickets to watch New Moon a day before the release of the movie in Malaysia.. Needless to say, I jumped for joy when I found out.. All I have to do now is to write a post on why I love the Twilight Saga.. (should be easy rite, since I'm such a big fan? haha..*cross fingers and hope so*)

• So yea, what exactly do I like about the Twilight Saga? You're probably expecting some long detailed explanation of the story-line or some description about how I love Edward Cullen so much.. But in all honesty, those are not what I like about the Twilight Saga.. What I like is simply just the intensity of the romance between Edward and Bella.. =)

• You'll be amazed to know but I don't like Edward or Bella on their own.. However when they're together, they seem to be a whole new character.. It truly seems like they are 2 in 1.. And that is what captures my attention each and every time.. The chemistry they have, the intense fission and passion.. Sometimes it's so overwhelming to read it all, but yet at the same time I can't help but want to read, hoping that some day, I will find in a guy, what Bella has found it Edward..

• I get goosebumps sometimes when I read the Twilight Saga, because the love Edward and Bella have for each other seem to just reflect off the book and into my soul.. Every emotion can be felt.. The love and happiness of being together, the pain and sorrow of losing the other.. Kudos to Stephenie Meyer, because it is purely from her writing alone that I am able to feel that very intensity in romance and love that Edward and Bella share.. For it is the very liking of that intensity that made me a huge fan of the Twilight Saga, because I have never come across any book that portrays love so outwardly that it touches me instantly.. So a big clap to Stephenie Meyer.. *clap hands*

• (Ok now I pray that this is good enough and I'll win the passes.. haha.. )

First ever Digi Music Live in Malaysia featuring The All American Rejects!

• Ok as promised, the AAR concert post.. This is gonna be a long, LONG post so get ready for it.. =) On the 31st of October, which was Halloween, we AAR fans were ecstatic and jumpy not to mention hyper, because on that exact day, they were set to blow fans away at Digi Music Live after postponing their concert which was originally on 10th October.. So at bout 9 plus,Kristine, Flora and I headed to Pavilion for their Meet The Fans session.. Met Jackie, Jeremy and Bryan there.. And siao siao people lk me bought 4 albums k.. (ehh I buy for ppl wan u think I too rich ka?).. We all stalked them while they were leaving, trying to get their pics.. Guards all damn annoying la, we stand everywhere they scold.. haha..

Still, I'm not complaining, I got to camwhore with the other 3, namely Chris, Nick and Mike.. Mike damn nice k.. During Meet The Fans Session, da Digi lady say per person they oni sign 1 Cd cover.. But I had 4!! I beg and beg, she insist oni can sign 1.. Den Mike was lk "I'll do one more for you ok?" So sweet kan!! =)

They were lining up at the stadium since 8am.. One of them was my ex-high sch friend.. Naziera.. lol.. Small world huh.. Haven't seen her in a year.. (Did not manage to take pic with her, so sad.. ) But anyway, here's what happened in the car..

• In case you slow and don't know what's happening, that's Kristine painting someone's nail.. Who, you ask? Well it's not me, and it's not Flora.. *hint : it's a guy!* lol..

• Unfortunately, we all kinda got pissed la once we were there.. That's cuz the organising sucked big time.. I heard Marctensia was in charge right? Well let me tell you this.. They need to learn how to brief their team members properly, and also how to give proper instructions.. Damn annoying la k.. We were told we could enter the VIP entrance, cuz we got our passes from Hitz.. So we did not get in line at the Public entrance.. Then those people told us those with Hitz passes still have to get in line at Public entrance.. Cuz we're not Digi VIP ours is different.. WTF right.. VIP means VIP la.. We checked with someone else again, he said we can use VIP entrance pulak.. And so we walked back and forth like useless, lifeless buggers, and it's tiring k!! The entrances were so far apart.. And so all I can say to Marctensia and the organisers in charge, go and learn how to organise things properly, maybe take up event management courses, den only take up the challenge of organising something so big la.. Don't go pissing people off left and right cuz you're so daft.. Grrrr..

• Ok now that my ranting part is done, let's continue.. =) sorry for the outburst by the way.. So before the drama happened, Kris, Flora, Jeremy and I were actually lepak-ing inside the area when it was not opened to public yet.. haha..

• Then we were lining up (They insisted we go in through Public Entrance but they let us stand in front), a few of the other bloggers came..

• Up next was Pop Shuvit.. I went a little crazy during their performance cuz they were SO good.. I loved "Oh Sizuka" (Thanks Nigel for intro-ing that song to me) and Mara Bahaya was the bomb..

• The final local band to take the stage was One Buck Shot, but their lead singer was sick in the hospital, so they had a little bit of help from Bunkface's lead singer Sam, Love Me Butch's lead singer Syarul Reza, Estrella's lead singer Liyana and one more guy whose band's name I cannot recall at all.. LOL...

• And then they were out!! The All American Rejects!! Their opening was freakingly awesome cuz they had me shocked as I din expect them to start.. They pulled da cloth off the drumset and Chris immediately started one of the most well-known beats ever, Move Along.. They were awesome that night, as usual.. Tyson was in a cute Red Indian headdress in conjunction with Halloween.. They sang their well-known infectious songs like Move Along, Dirty Little Secret, Swing Swing, It Ends Tonight, I Wanna and Gives You Hell.. There were also quite a number of songs from their new album like Mona Lisa, The Wind Blows, Fallin' Apart, Real World and Damn Girl..

• Once it ended, it was chaotic cuz phone lines were down, and I had no way of contacting my brother.. Thank God he found me together with the whole gang of bloggers.. =) Guess we were a big enough group for him to notice.. After that was supposed to go Meet and Greet session, but my feet were hurting, I was tired PLUS I already saw them that morning so what's the point right? Gave my pass to Sam instead.. haha.. Once they were all done, headed to Steven's Corner for yumcha session with the bloggers.. A lot la k, I cannot remember all of them.. And then at bout 12 plus, we left and headed home!! And that concludes my post.. =) Oh wait 1 final picture.. Finally got to take a pic with Amanda, girl who has my name.. haha..

So hey, sorry for the relatively long hiatus of blogging from me.. Been busy with prayers, exams, and the funeral today.. It all went well, and my grandfather is in a better place now.. So anyway, I know I'm supposed to be doing a post on The All American Rejects Digi Live concert.. But I still needa get pictures from people and that is going to take a while more.. So in the mean time, I came across something in my notepad.. A song, which I wrote a long time ago.. It's the first song that I felt was decent enough to be sung to people.. Death takes away a loved one..

• Today has not been a good day.. My grandfather passed away just now at bout 8 sumthing pm.. I must say that I was already quite prepared so I wasn't in such a bad shape la k.. But still, death is something that hits you right there all the time.. Losing someone you love is really not something that is quite so easy to cope with.. I was sitting there just now thinking bout how close I was to my grandfather when I was younger.. How he would pick me back from school, how he praised me for being smart in school, how he always always encouraged me to read books.. And I realised over the years as I grew up, I spent less and less time with him.. And now, he's gone.. No more times like those days.. I'd do anything to go back to those days, but that's not possible..

• All I've been doing the whole night is convincing myself that at least I saw him this afternoon, at least he had his sons and daughter around him when he moved on.. And I know for certain that he doesn't have to suffer now.. And that God has took him to a better place and God loves him more.. But it's still difficult and very heart-breaking to know that I'll never see my grandfather anymore.. Really, sometimes life just seems like chapters of goodbye.. All the wonderful people in our lives, ultimately, we're still going to have to say bye sooner or later right? But I shall think on the bright side, and think that even after the goodbyes have been said, the memories of that person still lingers.. And the way the person touched us, and changed our lives, that can never be taken away by goodbye..

Ah Kong, wherever you are now, I know you're with God.. And I'll miss you a lot, but I know you'll be happier now cuz you don't have to suffer.. I wanna cry, but I don't think you will want me to cry.. And neither does God.. For he had His reasons for taking you away from our family here.. And who am I to argue with His reasons? But anyways, I'm sorry for all the times I might have neglected you and forgot you because I was so busy trying to live my life, that I pushed aside the important aspect of life, which is family.. I wish I could change it all, but you and I both know I can't.. But I treasure all the memories I had with you, especially when I was a little girl.. How I would just sit next to you and you would tell me all sorts of stories.. I also remember the times when you keep saying I'm a clever girl and you praise me for all my results.. I miss those days, and I'm already missing you.. Whatever it is, know that I'll remember you always and I'll love you forever..

Back from AAR!!

Yes I am back from The All American Rejects concert by Digi Music Live at Carpark A, Stadium Bukit Jalil.. Would love to blog on it now, but I barely have pictures, cuz they're all with Jeremy and Flora.. Plus I should be asleep, church tomorrow and I am playing!! So I shall blog about it maybe tomorrow, if I can get the pictures?? lol.. So stay tuned for all the updates, pictures from the meet the fans session in the morning, camwhore with AAR in Niko Hotel, and of course the concert itself.. =)
